ABOUT
Block by Blockflute is an Arts-Based Youth & Family Engagement Initiative, and part of a Drug-Free Neighborhood Coalition, based in the Belair-Edison Neighborhood of Northeast Baltimore, founded by Baltimore resident Cheryl Crockett.
Using the Blockflute (a.k.a.: "recorder"), children can learn to play an inexpensive instrument and experience the academic, emotional, physical and social benefits of studying music.
Combining music education with information, support and resources that encourage a drug-free lifestyle, Block by Blockflute seeks to strengthen the next generation against some of the pitfalls that harm our community.
